Digital Radiographs (X-rays) allow us to take films with up to 95% less radiation than conventional x-rays. Sensors, instead of film, are placed in the patients mouth and after exposure, the image appears on a computer screen in just seconds. Instead of holding up small films that are hard to see, Dr. Levin can look at the images on a computer screen together with the patient.
The image can be enlarged many times its actual size. This technology is not only safer to our patients but also allows them to understand the diagnosis.
